Echuca Moama is perfect for a long weekend. The weather is often a few degrees warmer than Melbourne, the river is right there, and you can cover a surprising amount of ground on an e-bike without feeling rushed.
Friday
Arrive & settle in
- Afternoon — Check into your accommodation. Many places are within free delivery range for Green Pedal.
- Late afternoon — Short 2-hour Cruiser hire ($45 special) or a stroll along the Port of Echuca. Get your bearings and watch the paddle steamers.
- Evening — Dinner in the historic Port precinct. Plenty of options within walking distance.
Saturday
The classic e-bike day
- Morning — Join the Echuca Scenic Tour (90 min, $65). Departs Murray Esplanade. Easy pace, bridges, rivers, Port and local stories from David.
- Lunch — Coffee and food in the Port or over in Moama.
- Afternoon option A — Keep the bikes for a half-day hire and ride the Campaspe River path or out to Moama Beach.
- Afternoon option B — Book the Bike to Winery Tour ($85) for a guided ride to St Anne’s with complimentary tasting.
- Evening — Dinner with a river view or a casual meal at one of the local favourites.

Explore a little further
- Morning — Self-guided ride into Banyule Forest or the longer river tracks. Ask David for a free map and current tips.
- Late morning — Coffee stop, then return the bikes.
- Afternoon — Paddle steamer cruise, Great Aussie Beer Shed, or simply relax by the river before heading home.
